Weddings

You could get married in a Church? A Register Office? A Corporate Hotel? .... if none of these appeal to you then you are on the right page!

Choose your venue - home, garden, beach, forest, field, barn, by a lake, on a farm, marquee, tipi, warehouse, pagoda .... I could go on and on - you are only limited by your imagination.  You might want something very traditional or something completely unique to reflect your personalities.

A theme maybe?  Vintage, Bling, Wild West, Steam Punk, a Colour, an Era, Rustic, Boho, a Season, Christmas.  See how limitless this all is?  And think about the cost ... you have the opportunity not to be tied in any way to a 'price per head' charge or inflated bar prices, you can DIY or choose individual suppliers rather than ones that are 'preferred' by a venue.  Oooh and how about the food?? So much choice, BBQ, Hog Roast, Picnic, Pie n Mash (for the Londoners!), Fish n Chips, Street Food, again, I could go on and on but I think you're probably getting the idea by now .... YOUR wedding YOUR way.

As exciting as all of this is, my part, the ceremony, needs to reflect and compliment your choices and your personalities.  We can research and include symbolic, family or traditional rituals that are meaningful to you - Handfasting, Sand Ceremonies, Jumping the Broom, Unity Candle or, guess what? You can create your own!  Your ceremony can include your children, your pets, your own choices of poems, readings (religious or non), music and the best bit, I think anyway, is that you can write your own vows and commitments to each other.  The script for your wedding will be completely unique, written to your specific requirements and dreams.

Can I legally marry you?  No, I can't, but I can guide you through what I like to call 'the paperwork' which you can do as quietly (or not!) as you like at your local Register Office for somewhere around £50.  Once that’s done - and it’s really no big deal - the fun really starts and you have YOUR wedding ceremony YOUR way.

So call me, we can have a chat.  Then I'll meet you face to face and you can decide if you want to go ahead.  A couple of months before the actual date (although I can manage a short notice do if need be!) we'll meet again and we'll discuss your exact requirements and I'll go away and write the draft.  You'll get it emailed to edit, add or tweak until it’s perfect.  We'll have a rehearsal just before the day where we run through the logistics, how we're going to enter the venue, who stands where etc etc.  (I won’t read the script in its entirety at the rehearsal - that would spoil the surprise!), and then I'll be there, waiting for you on the big day .... Voila!!
